Musical Instrument Museum

Musical Instrument Museum Musical Instrument Museum

This one of a kind museum showcases the instruments of the world, displayed roughly by continent, and features state of the art, wireless technology that allows you to see and hear the instruments being played. Guests will also be able to touch and play some instruments as well as get an “insider’s view” of how instruments work.

I visited MIM a few months ago while it was still under construction and only a handful of the museum’s 12,000 instruments were on display, and I can’t wait to go back. I’d like to see the Steinway that is cut into sections as well as the transparent piano that shows the instrument’s innerworkings as it is played. I’m also looking forward to the Experience Gallery where you’ll be able to play the instruments.
