It is situated at the confluence of the Bow River and the Elbow River in the south of the province, in an area of foothills and prairie, approximately 80 km (50 mi) east of the front ranges of the Canadian Rockies. As of the 2011 census, the City of Calgary had a population of 1,096,833 and a metropolitan population of 1,214,839, making it the largest city in Alberta, and the third-largest municipality and fifth-largest census metropolitan area (CMA) in Canada.

The Canadian Museum of Nature (French: Musée Canadien de la nature) is a natural history museum in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Its collections, which were started by the Geological Survey of Canada in 1856, include all aspects of the intersection of human society and nature, from gardening to gene-splicing.

Vancouver is a wonderful travel destination, and although it's history goes back only 120 something years, It has many landmarks and attractions you should explore. Add to that a beautiful ocean and beaches, breathtaking nature and some of the best urban parks in the world, and you have a full to do list. If you are short in time, be sure not to miss the essentials, such as Gastown and Chinatown, Stanley Park and of course Capilano Bridge.
